The goal of this project was to take a recent news article and tell the story of the article, using only pictograms collected online via The Noun Project.
As part of my research process I first collected any relevant pictograms which relate directly to my story
After a lengthy process of framing and structuring the pictograms together to create a visually cohesive and consistent appearance, I created a rough draft of my black and white version of the poster
Now that I had the general structure and layout of my black and white poster I went through an iteration stage to find out the best color combinations to add color to my poster
After exploring all color combinations I made decisions on which ones were the best option for the overall composition and this lead me to the final result at the top of this page
